Environmental Project Officer
Cath grew up in Maryborough in Central Victoria and has been working for the Uniting Church in various capacities since 1994. She has a particular interest in ecotheology and worshipping in new and creative ways that are inclusive of people on the margins of the church.
As the Environmental Project Officer, Cath has responsibility for educating the church and developing resources around ecotheology and ways in which congregations can be more environmentally aware and active. She has been a member of the Uniting Church Earth Team since it began in 1994 and was the Chair from 1998-2001. She has an Arts / Theology background and has long been committed to environmental justice in practical ways.
She is married to Joel and has two children, Lloyd and Micah. She currently lives in Richmond with two chooks, a hive of bees and eight solar panels. She enjoys long breakfasts in the garden on Saturday mornings, cooking and preserving, creative writing and watching films.
