Tess Keam
Social Justice Officer
Tess started as a Social Justice Officer in the Justice and International Mission Unit of the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania in 2008. She is excited to be working in a field that she is passionate about and is enjoying working on the areas of asylum seekers, indigenous issues, international mission and the JustAct website. Tess has been a part of the Warrandyte Uniting Church congregation since she was born and have participated in various programs through the wider church. These included AboutFACE and a People in Mission placement with the beautiful children of Bethany Home, a school for children with disabilities in Malaysia. Tess studied International Studies at university and since then have been living and working in Aurukun, a remote indigenous community in northern Queensland.
Tess is looking forward to being able to use these experiences in her work with the Uniting Church and also to practically living out her faith through working towards social justice for all.
