DESCRIPTION:Launch of ‘What Is Happening to Religion in Australia? Understanding the Trends’ \nBy Philip Hughes. \nAnecdotal experience and statistics from the census and surveys indicate clearly that identification with religion is in decline in Australia. This book analyses the trends and\, drawing on international scholarship\, provides a social explanation of what is happening. It looks at the role of immigration in slowing the patterns of change and the different rates that progressive and conservative churches are changing.
