A question of image

Each Monday night in the Sonderverse community, we gather around a simple yet profound question: What might this image be inviting me to wonder?

We call this segment of our broadcast ‘Dixit Divina’, because these images are from the game Dixit.

We take the time for these images to serve as sacred mirrors—time for deeper reflection, prayer, and spiritual exploration.

Much like the ancient practices of lectio divina and visio divina, we begin by drawing a random card and allow the image to speak to us beyond words.

We sit with it, wondering … what things does this image stir for us?

Does this image help form our prayers for the world this week?

Do we find something in these images that mirror the stories told in the scripture reading from today?

This practice has become part of our community’s weekly rhythm where we introduce a new image every Monday and then post it in our communities Discord server so that people can ponder the image’s significance over the week.

I wonder what this image is saying to you.

Does it help bring clarity to any of your faith or life questions?

Perhaps it stirs something within you, but you’re not sure how to name it?
