Our professional, helpful and service-orientated unit provides a range of reliable and accurate financial information to and on behalf of the Synod. Among other things, it ensures users comply with all applicable regulations and directives.
Internal Audit
This function has been created to provide professional expertise to congregations, presbyteries and UnitingCare agencies to support them in fulfilling their stewardship responsibilities in relation to financial and risk management.
Risk & Insurance
This unit manages the insurance program for congregations, schools, camps, AgeWell, UnitingCare and other church agencies. It also manages all claims and negotiates on behalf of its clients all settlements to their best advantage.

Legal Services
Our Legal office works with the Property Trust to ensure the Synod has comprehensive legal expertise to serve the needs of the Church. The office provides advice and assistance at a reasonable fee-for-service basis.
Property
Property Services consists of a broad, dedicated team of specialists from a wide range of property backgrounds who use their skills and resources to work with you to best manage your property needs for the common wealth of the Church.
IT Services
The IT Services team provides IT services to the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of Victoria and Tasmania.
Grants
We offer a range of grants to individuals, congregations, Presbyteries and affiliated agencies. There are three categories of grants: educational, annual and financial and all have specific qualifying criteria, processes and requirements.
Occupational Health & Safety
It is easy to think of the Synod Office or the local Uniting Care facility as a workplace. Church facilities and worship centres are also workplaces because paid employees work from these buildings. OH&S is required both legally and ethically.
