The Younger Generations team work together to assist presbyteries, congregations and communities of faith and their leaders and chaplains, in engagement with and by younger generations. The team focusses particularly on strategic outcomes that assist in growing faith formation, discipleship and leadership formation in children, youth, young adults and their families.
Working as a team, each team member has a specific focus and contribution:
- Younger Generations - Digital and New Communities

- Younger Generations Multicultural Communities
Nia Lavaki has a focus on developing faith, discipleship and leadership in 1.5 and 2nd generation migrant communities. She works with lay and ordained leaders to articulate the complexities that living across cultures holds for young people. Contact Nia on 0484 189 318 or [email protected]
- The third member of the team (to be appointed late 2023) will assist in growing formation pathways for younger generations leaders, growing resources for faith formation, and engaging with ecumenical partnerships in children and families, youth and young adults ministries. They will also assist in co-designing strategies with presbyteries and regions for effective discipleship.
