Presbytery of Gippsland

The Presbytery of Gippsland covers approximately one fifth of Victoria and extends from Koo Wee Rup in the west through to Mallacoota in the east, from Philip Island and Bass Coast in the south to the Victorian High Country in the north.

In 2019 the Presbytery adopted The Fig Tree Project as our strategy of ministry and mission. It enables Ministers to work in teams, each with primary pastoral responsibility for particular congregations.

We have six collegial ministry teams resourced and supported through the Presbytery via our Presbytery Ministers as team leaders. This enables our ministry agents to work in creative and flexible ways, responsive to local needs.

A unique feature of the church in Gippsland is our shared ministry with the Anglican Diocese of Gippsland. We have cooperating places across the breadth of Gippsland, sharing ministry, worship, membership and mission as disciples of Jesus.

The Presbytery has a significant relationship with Frontier Services, with patrol ministries in the High Country and Bushfire Recovery in the east, and Corner Inlet in the South.
