UCA-Anglican Co-Operation

On 7 September 2023, an historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of Victoria and Tasmania and the Anglican Church of Australia Province of Victoria regarding guidelines for joint and co-operating congregations.

The MOU seeks to guide how parishes co-operate together for the provision of ministering God’s word in a community.

Along with the MOU are a set of resource documents to assist with co-operation including

  • Sharing a building
  • Sharing hospitality in worship, where one congregation hosts the other as guests
  • Being a joint congregation
  • Reciprocal protocols for Clearance of Ministry
