Parable of the seed

Read, or listen to, the parable of the mustard seed in Mark 4:26–34.

Write, draw, or doodle your reflections on these questions as you  discuss with those around you:

Where do you see the potential in your faith community?

Who can play a role in realising this potential?

What is holding you/your community back from this potential?

How can you move beyond any barriers?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

You will need: cardboard, PVA glue, pencils, seeds of various sizes, colours and shapes

In pencil, draw the outline of a beautiful scene (rural or urban) or an image  which represents for you a special place where you feel at peace and close to God (maybe by a lake, in a park, on holiday, in your home or at church).

Keep the design simple, leaving spaces which you can fill with seeds, stuck in place by a thin layer of PVA glue.
