Rally empowers young people
By Nia Lavaki
On Sunday, December 1 the Younger Generations team hosted a Multicultural Youth Rally.
We began with praise and worship that was led by St John’s Uniting Church.
We were then blessed by a powerful and encouraging message from the President Rev Charissa Suli about weaving our faith together.
Charissa made us think about what we would be weaving into our faith this Advent season.
There were also amazing performances from different youth groups that got us all dancing in our seats.
Over the year we have hosted many different programs catered for the CALD community.
We had over 300 people attend the youth rally on Sunday night and it was just so empowering.
The relationships between each other have been made and now the fellowship continues to blossom.
This is why it is important that we continue to support our young people in these spaces so that they continue to grow as faithful and strong disciples of Christ.
Knowing that they are not alone in this journey makes it easier.
May we continue to journey together as young people of the CALD Community and weave our faith together.
