What might we learn from the 1st Sunday of our Digital Age
On Sunday 22nd March, most congregations who were able, provided some form of worship gathering over the Internet. Below are a few samples of those gatherings, utilising different formats, modes and technologies. We share them here as examples so they might give you hope and creativity.

Manningham Uniting Church
Manningham provided a self-directed intergenerational worship service via their website. The service used embedded videos and mp3 files to aid singing.

Live-Streamed Gatherings via Facebook
Several churches chose to use the Facebook Live option to stream their services. You may need to scroll down to find the video.
Canterbury Balwyn Rd Uniting Church
Leichhardt Uniting Church live-streamed their service from their minister’s lounge room
St David’s Newtown Uniting Church
St David’s Newtown Uniting Church used Zoom meeting for their gathering, including a choir!
Glen Waverley Uniting Church
Glen Waverley live-streamed their service via YouTube, which people were able to watch live, or view at a convenient time.

Blended Services
Several congregations prepared short reflections, available as YouTube videos or posted on Facebook pages/groups. They then offered time & space in Zoom meetings for fellowship, conversation and common prayer – a virtual morning tea, if you like. One example is this video prepared by Canberra City Uniting Church.
