Stats don’t lie

Here at UCAYouth we enjoy the privilege of having time to read. We’ve covered lots of ministry books in the library segment of Work Experience Podcast, but we also enjoy the opportunity to review the latest research from across the world. Below are a few pieces we’ve found enormously helpful, and we’d recommend you have a look at them.

If you’d like to discuss how these can shape your local ministries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us!

  • The 2019 Mission Australia Youth Survey provides a platform for young people aged 15 to 19 to share their values, aspirations and concerns. in 2019, over 25,000 young people completed the survey. Mission Australia release the full report for free, and also provide a handy 2-page infographic.

  • Earlier this year, Barna and World Vision released The Connected Generation report. Here are the key findings. UCAYouth have purchased the full report and the Aus/NZ profiles, so let us know if you’d like more information about this incredible piece of research about the values and beliefs of Gen Z.

  • Minus18 have released the Youth & Queer Report, a consultation report on the experiences of 120 LGBTIQ youth, and the solutions they propose for a better future.

  • The Young Australian Loneliness Survey is a new piece of research revealing concerning data around the social life of adolescents and young adults, whilst also offering significant recommendations to address this issue.
