The Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania (the Synod) (UCA) is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all persons associated with its activities such as employees, residents, clients, congregation members, visitors, contractors and volunteers.

Managing health and safety does not need to be complicated, costly or time-consuming. In fact, it is probably easier than you think. The OHS/WHS Manual provides an overview of the elements of a safety management system relevant to congregations. Although not all elements may be applicable to all congregations, it describes a summary of the key actions recommended and/or required.
